A programme in cooperation with the Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD), Office of the Governor, Province of Negros Oriental.
The project is 75% funded by the European Union.
Admission Requirements
University degree or equivalent preferable in education/training and/or computer science;
Several years of working experience in training activities
Working knowledge on computer and internet use (e.g. email, searching the WWW),
...standard softwares such as MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader
Good English language skills
Technical requirements. Regular Internet access (e-Mail, Chat, WWW), printer, PC usable for multimedia (Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT 4.0/ME/2000), with a CD-ROM and soundcard.
The programme is for former participants or participants from partner institutions of InWEnt (DSE/CDG) in the private and public education and training sectors; for those who are in charge of the planning, development and implementation process of multimedia and tele-learning or internet based training courses in particular.
Objectives
Assess the possible uses of information and communication technologies (ICT) with
...regard to social and pedagogical implications
Know the technical function, service and use of ICT for educational purposes
Know different multi- and tele-media learning scenarios
Know tools of the technical production and the didactical design in order to apply them to
...planning and developing regionally relevant internet-based training
Methods
The activities involved will focus on the capability enhancement of the target groups through trainings and seminars, workshops and short courses on relevant topics. Exposure and/or cross-visits to areas with good practices and initiatives are also identified as one of the activities in this program. This will provide the target beneficiaries the opportunity to visit and observe technologies and strategies that might be replicated and applied in their respective area of concern. Before these training courses will be conducted, assessment reports need to be made in order to determine the training requirements of each participant.

The online phase is subdivided in 6 online phases. Each online phase contains one module which will be studied over the next 4 weeks. The first four modules are compulsory (c.); the last two modules are for consolidation and can be chosen out of a pool of modules.
